Beyond this, many vitamin compounds include Selenium along with Vitamin E. Selenium is good for a strong heart, building muscle mass and keeping your skin healthy and young looking. Selenium works cooperatively with vitamin E to keep the liver in its best working order while also upping the body’s resistance to cancer.
What Experts are Saying:
The data on supplements as a way to fight cancer and other maladies is very limited at this point. The trials and studies require more time to complete in order to obtain evidence that wholly supports taking these vitamins for those specific purposes. That does not mean that taking Vitamins A, C, E, and beta carotene is a bad idea. However, you need to be aware that you’re not necessarily preventing heart disease or cancer by so doing.
Additionally, experts agree that a nutritional diet filled with fruits and vegetables, unprocessed products and plenty of water is critical to the bodies ability to fight sickness and maintain wellness. There is concern that some people are using antioxidant vitamins as a substitute for good nutrition and fitness practices. No amount of vitamins can support a person’s health if they are not eating, resting and exercising properly.
